Advanced Leadership Skills
Two Day Workshop
The organisation’s
most important resource is its people and therefore the ultimate
success of an organisation is dependent upon the effective
leadership and management of this resource. Leadership is concerned
with doing things with people as opposed to doing things
to people. This workshop explores the advantages of
understanding the latest thinking on the qualities of leadership and
the importance of emotional intelligence in this process. Practical
in approach with an abundance of leadership techniques, this
workshop has been designed to equip delegates with the necessary
skills to lead, inspire, motivate and improve the performance work
team. It is ideally suited for organisations where employees work
with others under pressure and must exercise Emotional Intelligence
(EI) if they are to be successful.
Key Benefits
As a result of their work in this
workshop, delegates will be better able to:
- Take daily action to motivate and
focus front line employees on excellence, particularly
geographically remote employees.
- Set challenging and attainable
goals that inspire rather than demoralise employees.
- Reward and reinforce outstanding
performance by tapping the resource of effective performance
feedback.
Delegates will:
- Understand a proven, tested model
for motivating front line employees.
- Have a thorough assessment of
their strengths and areas of opportunity on the Emotional
Intelligence competencies through 360° feedback, supporting group
feedback and individual consultation.
- Understand the impact that the
climate they create has on service excellence and revenue growth.
Workshop Content
This workshop
provides managers with concrete tools to help them develop a work
climate that creates energy and service excellence. It also helps
managers understand their EI strengths and development needs in
order to become even more effective, personally in their work.
Feedback is presented
and discussed thoroughly. The discussion is linked to broader
exploration of the concepts and how they apply to performance. Each
participant should also receive an individual consultation to
provide focus and advice on the implementation of steps for
performance improvement.
During the workshop
delegates engage in simulation activities and self-assessment
exercises that allow them to see how they perform in work-like
settings and work with each other to stimulate feedback.
The process
culminates with the setting of goals to implement tangible
improvements in the organisation.
