us and it is vital that management within organisations recognise
the psychology of change and the perceptions and effects it evokes
in terms of individual behaviour. This workshop investigates the
imperative of change and the need for organisations to recognise
that the Manager of Change is an ever-increasing requirement for
success. It also explores the individual responses to change and
equips delegates with a greater understanding as well as the
necessary skills and strategies for the effective Management of

The Psychology of
Change
People react and respond to change in
different ways. One of the skills critical to managing change is
that of recognising and understanding people’s responses and
behaviours to the change. Once the emotions and effects are
understood they than can be managed in a positive away thereby
facilitating the process of change.
Analysing Change
A key part of managing change is to
analyse the change situation itself, identifying the driving forces
for the change and also any restraining forces. A number of powerful
techniques will therefore be introduced to delegates equipping them
with the tools to analyse their own changing situations and the
possible strategies they may pursue.
Resistance to Change
Resistance can take many forms and
have varying degrees; it can be the main obstacle to achieving the
effective management of change. Delegates will analyse the differing
reasons for why resistance occurs as well as examine the methods
that can be adopted to deal with each form of resistance.
